IEEE members can access information on local events and activities by signing in to IEEE Collabratec®, an integrated multi-functional platform and global network of technology-focused professionals, leveraging IEEE’s extensive knowledge base and community of thought-leaders. Once signed in, users can:

- Establish a professional profile highlighting your accomplishments
- Join and participate in discussions on various technical interests
- Create a group to share and collaborate on projects
- Discover IEEE events and activities throughout the world

Step-by-Step Guide
Click the “Join IEEE Now” button and click on “Join as a student”.
If you do not have an IEEE account, you’ll be met with the following screen. Don’t worry there is no cost to having an IEEE account.
Complete the from with your basic details and accept the IEEE privacy policy then you can move on to the next step.
After creating an account, you will be given another form for getting an active IEEE membership which is also required to participate in IEEExtreme. You will be required to fill in some extra contact information.
Next you must state that you are a student who’s at least studying part-time and must fill-in the education related details. This is mainly to tailor subscriptions and events to your profile.
Please only add memberships if YOU are willing to pay for it. If you are joining IEEExtreme, we are only reimbursing the basic student membership cost. We will NOT be reimbursing for any membership add-ons.
Next you can choose to keep recieving or opt out from digital subscription of IEEE magazines. This digital subscription is completely free with IEEE membership.
