WIE AFFINITY GROUP

“There is nothing I believe more strongly than getting young people interested in science and engineering, for a better tomorrow, for all humankind.”

-Bill Nye

Transforming the future of humanity
The mission of IEEE BUP SB WIE Affinity Group is to raise the profiles of our remarkable female engineers and encourage those who aspire to become engineers. We believe by narrowing the gender gap in the fields of Engineering and technology, we can transform the future of humanity.

Facing challenges together
The Affinity aspires to work with the engineering community to share content and information that illuminates future innovators. And more importantly, to show how they can be part of the solutions to the toughest challenges facing society by becoming an engineer.

About us

IEEE BUP SB WIE Affinity has started its journey from November 9, 2019 [Officially] with a number of active participations and achievements. It is trying to build a powerful message that a girl can be both a mother(bringing upon a child) and an engineer(inventing a machine).

We want to inspire and promote women engineers and enthusiasts to follow their academic interests and build a career in engineering. We ask them to come forward to show their worth in innovation, technical skills and engineering for a better world. But as for inspiration, the men are also a bright example of encouragement in showing how great each aspect of modern tech and engineering can be. With further words, they are also a mark of this inspiration to women and we welcome them to join in WIE Affinity affiliated activities.

Thus, we embrace the effort of both female and male here to provide their accomplishments through science, creativity and innovation with a look to serve humanity.
