Current Executive Team
Professor Ke Wu (born 9 December 1962 in Liyang, Jiangsu, China) is a professor of Electrical Engineering at the Ecole Polytechnique(University of Montreal), and Tier-I Canada Research Chair in Radio Frequency (RF) and Millimetre-Wave Engineering.
He is the director of the Poly-Grames Research Center, and the Founding Director of a Canadian university-industry consortium called Facility for Advanced Millimetre-wave Engineering (FAME) and the Center for Radiofrequency Electronics Research of Quebec (or Centre de recherche en électronique radiofréquence (CREER) – a strategic alliance of Québec).
He also holds the first Cheung Kong endowed chair professorship (visiting) at the Southeast University and the first Sir Yue-Kong Pao chair professorship (visiting) at the Ningbo University; China see more.
I am Amirhossein Askarian, a Ph.D. researcher at the Poly-Grames Research Center, Polytechnique Montreal since May 2018. I graduated in Electrical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) in Tehran, Iran. I am conducting research on the integration of multi-band antenna arrays with electro-optic components for analog Radio-over-Fiber (ARoF) based wireless systems.
I enjoy teamwork, academic and non-academic collaboration activities, and event planning. In my pastime, though, I usually go swimming, running, hiking, play volleyball and tennis. By the way, I enjoy spending time in nature and capturing all the wonderful moments of beauty with my camera.
Yasser Bigdeli (Student Member, IEEE) received his M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran (UT), Tehran, in 2018. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering at the École Polytechnique de Montréal, Montreal, QC, Canada. In 2020, he joined the Poly-Grames Research Center, École Polytechnique de Montréal, as a Research Assistant. His current research interests include terahertz (THz) multifunction wireless communication and sensing systems, and transceiver front-end.
Besides my academic life, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and doing cardio exercises. I follow Fantasy, and Drama movies/TV series. I never miss Formula1 weekends hoping for the George Russell championship.
Membership development officer
I am Chandan Roy. I received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh, and a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Communication and Signal Processing Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Silchar, India, respectively. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Poly-Grames in Polytechnique Montreal. My research interest includes microwave components’ design optimization such as tunable filters, couplers, etc. In addition, I am highly interested in machine learning techniques such as artificial neural network modeling for microwave component designing.
Apart from my academic activities, I am a movie buff. Especially, I do like suspense thriller movies regardless of their country of origin. In addition, I play the electric keyboard and read fiction novels in my leisure time. Thus, if you have a common interest with me and want to discuss it while grabbing a cup of coffee, you are most welcome.
Workshop coordinator / marketing manager
I am Qingtao Chen, a Ph.D. candidate at Poly-Grames Research Center, Polytechnique Montréal, Université de Montréal. My research interests include photonic devices based on femtosecond laser processing technology, integrated multi-application antennas, antenna arrays, and high-performance photodetectors. Currently, I am a volunteer for the IEEE student branch at Polytechnique Montréal as a coordinator. In our branch, I will coordinate to organize various activities to share different cultures and workshops to present different scientific viewpoints and perspectives. In my spare time, I enjoy playing badminton, tennis, and ping-pong with my friends. Welcome to join us if you are interested in those activities.
