After bidding farewell to many former members, we are excited to welcome our second Go Tournament event! The tournament took place on Wednesday, March 12th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in BA4287, featuring the 7×7 variant of Go, a faster-paced version of the traditional game.

After a year without the game, many participants had forgotten the rules. To get everyone back into the spirit, we started with a quick rule review followed by a casual practice round. Thanks to the generous support of the U of T IEEE AP-S Student Chapter, the event budget increased from $150 to $250, allowing us to enhance the experience. In addition to the tournament, we provided coffee and treats, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Exciting prizes were awarded to the top competitors, making it a fun and engaging way to wrap up the academic term.

Hanieh, the president of the U of T IEEE AP-S Student Chapter, presented prizes to the top three winners. Congratulations to:

🥇 Champion: Mohammad Abdolrazzaghi won an Amazon gift
🥈 Second Place: Hanieh Kiani Amiri got the fidget toy.
🥉 Third Place: Alex, who won an electromagnetics book as a prize.

We look forward to seeing you at our next tournament!
