EMBS CUSB Activities

Cairo University

We’re a non-profit student organization related to the international IEEE EMBS (Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society). Our main objective is to help students navigate the ever-changing world of biomedical engineering. The chapter at Cairo University started as the first student chapter in Egypt. Since then we’ve helped a lot of students over the years. We organized international student conferences, student-led workshops, webinars, and much more.

Our activities cover various fields of the biomedical engineering discipline, such as AI, software engineering, electronics and embedded systems, information technology, bioinformatics, biotechnology, clinical engineering, instrumentation and measurement, micro and nanotechnology, radiology, as well as other fields.

Our global society: IEEE EMBS, is the largest international society of biomedical engineers, with over 10,000 members in 97 countries. EMBS aims to provide its members with access to the people, practices, information, ideas, and opinions that are shaping one of the fastest-growing fields in science.
