CDR File, Design Graphic Software Corel Draw
Hello guys, did you enjoy your weekend? So we’ve been talking about Vector Graphic Software, Adobe Illustrator in previous posts. Now we are gonna explore more about CorelDraw. Actually I’m not used to designing with CorelDraw, but so many people say that CorelDraw is really good, it’s like Illustrator plus Photoshop. So here is the topic we’re gonna talk about in this post, “CDR File, Design Graphic Software CorelDraw”. CorelDraw is one of the most popular graphics design software available on the internet. This amazing designing software meets the day-to-day demands of working designers. It is designed to edit two-dimensional images such as logos, posters, and other 2D design images.
So What is CorelDraw?
Corel Draw is a vector graphics editor developed by Corel Corporation. It is also the name of the Corel graphics suite, which includes the bitmap-image editor Corel Photo-Paint as well as other graphics-related programs. Corel Draw is designed to edit two-dimensional images such as logos and posters and it is available for Windows and macOS.
And What for CorelDraw is?
Same as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, that we have discussed before in this previous post. CorelDraw can be used to make a poster, create logos or symbols, create new fonts, make social media content, invitation or maybe an announcement posters, billboards, complete branding or even to create a mock-up design.
Vector Graphic with Effect
Vector graphics are created in graphics packages and consist of objects. Each object can be edited separately, meaning that the shape, color, size and position can be changed. However unlike Adobe illustrator, CorelDraw has the capability to build in raster image tools like Adobe Photoshop and convert bitmap into object. Converting bitmaps to objects can be complicated, but CorelDRAW can make it simple. It offers many different tools which make the conversion steps a lot easier.
When you import your bitmap, all you have to do is right-click on it, and then select what you want to do next. CorelDraw allows you to convert from bitmap to vector, extract the outline of the bitmap (or extract the centerline of the bitmap), and remove the rest.
CorelDraw also allows users to do things like add special effects such as borders to images, in addition to allowing for contrast adjustment, color balancing, add different effects, or simply choose one of the templates that appear on the welcome screen.
For the CorelDraw file type, usually a CDR file, it can be opened on another version of CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator, CorelCad, Inkscape, Corel Paintshop Pro, Corel WordPerfect Office, or even Microsoft Visio. To export your artboard, you can save it in many different formats that are compatible with the software. For example, you can save them in the well known image formats, such as PNG, JPEG, or JPG and you can even open these images in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
If you are searching for software that allows you to create vector designs, edit images, format text, and to print the banner for any occasion CorelDRAW is the right choice. The program is quite simple and it gives you a lot of freedom when it comes to designing. If you only focus on Vector Graphic images that you will upload on social media, use Adobe Illustrator. Then lastly, if you are searching for an editing photo like to manipulate an object on a picture, or make an aesthetic image, it’s better to use Adobe Photoshop.
