Second Trinity IEEE Threesis Competition
AAP 3.19 Áras an Phiarsaigh, Trinity College Dublin, DublinThe Trinity IEEE Student Branch invites Postgrad students and researchers to participate in our Second Threesis event on Monday, 19th February at 5:00pm in Room 3.19, 3rd Floor, Áras an Phiarsaigh, Trinity College Dublin. You will have just 3 minutes to present your research in an engaging "sales pitch" format to a non-specialist audience. There will be prizes for speakers on the night. This will be a great opportunity to meet other early-stage researchers and practice your presenting, communication, and Education and Public Engagement (EPE) skills. Afterwards, we will have a social evening with pizzas and drinks. Link to register interest: https://forms.gle/89wRLYxWRAbmSRfY6 If you would like to attend the event as an audience member rather than as a speaker, please indicate this in the form at the above link so we can manage numbers. Rules: All presentations should be no more than three minutes long with no more than three slides. No complex overlays or transitions. Main focus should be on you and your voice. Small props allowed. Talks should be a general, high-level introduction to your research. Deadline to register your interest in presenting is Tuesday, 13th February 3:00 PM.
