Tech Fusion

The event ‘TECH FUSION 2020’ organized by the IEEE student branch of Amity University Rajasthan took place in the seminar hall of the ASET department on 28th January 2020. The event began at 10:00 am and continued till 13:00 pm. It witnessed several ideas for innovations put forward by students of various branches including biotechnology, computer science engineering, food technology etc. In all, there were about 20 presentations in the course of the event on the following topics:

  • Sustainable development via microbial art- Gazal Bhargav
  • Foggy car glass- Nandini Gupta
  • Bioplastic- Nandini Chouhan
  • Carbon sequestration- Laxmi Devi
  • Human hair fertilizer- Prachi Shivhare
  • Styling app- Abhinav
  • Azolla- Sakshi Kalyani
  • Turmeric flakes- Mansi and Vamsi
  • Body wave sensors- Aarushi
  • Toddler food products- Jigyanshu
  • Emerging food packaging technology- Akshat
  • Green buildings- Mona Dubey
  • Soma- Srishti Saxena
  • Wise tooth- Priyanshi Khare
  • Edibile water- Gurudutt
  • Oxygen sensing in cells- Chinmayee Verma
  • Osmo dehydrated carrots and pumpkins- Ghanshyam and Shreyanshi
  • Ori-go- Nikita Sarswat

This event was judged by Dr. Sunil Pathak, HOD CSE department, Dr. Manju Kaushik, technical coordinator of AUR, Dr Girish Palliwal, AIIT, Dr. Neelam Jain, AIB, Dr Amit Hirawat,  AIIT.

Dr. G.K. Aseri sir, Dean Academics and Dr Ashwini Yadav (ECE) graced the event with their presence. Dr. G.K. Aseri sir addressed the crowd and mentioned that IEEE is a group known for its contribution towards engineers. He humbly asked the students to take the advantage of the facilities provided by the university to the fullest and students should be dedicated towards their work on the specific topics they choose and should complete the loop of invention.

Top 3 winners of the event were then announced. Ghanshyam and Shreyanshi secured the first position with their topic ‘Osmo dehydrated carrots and pumpkin’. The second position was awarded to Nikita for her idea of ‘Ori-go’. Abhinav secured the third position for his ‘Styling app’ idea.

This event involved the sharing of different innovative ideas among the students and brought up the level of confidence and thinking among the participants as well as the audience. It proved to be an interactive and informative event.

Post the event, an official meeting was called upon by the IEEE AUR student branch chairman where he appreciated the efforts put in by the IEEE members in making the event a success. Suggestions for the scope of improvement in the upcoming events were also discussed.  IEEE AUR student branch hopes to organize many more events that will prove to be of greater success.
