The IEEE Dibrugarh Univ Student Branch, established in 2023, is a community of enthusiastic and devoted students committed to sharing technical knowledge and skills among themselves. Our organization will help the students to shape their careers, offer resources to acquire new skills, advance their professional development, and provide numerous opportunities for involvement, recognition, and reward. Our organization strives to create a community of like-minded enthusiasts who are passionate about leveraging the power of electronics to make a positive difference in the world. Before the Branch was formed:
History:
In 2019, when covid-19 pandemic hit by the world, we came to know how technology can help everyone, not only the people who are living in urban areas but also helped the rural and remote areas to get their respective resources and needs. But most of the remote places were going through extreme hardship in accessing it since they don’t have resources during Covid. So in 2020, Mr Pallav kr. Gogoi with his friend Mr Anup Sharma has planned to organize a workshop on “A very innovative DIY workshop for school children at the regional level” which helped the remote students to access the resources. This project has been successfully organized in the following schools:
- Joypur High School.
- Hapjan High School.
- Ushapur High School.
- Tai Phake High School.
- Dibrugarh Government Boys School.
So, we came up with the idea of a “6-month training E-huts program which can provide technical knowledge to children in remote areas, which will help them to shape their future and endeavor to think in a unique way. The e-resources provided during the project. The Students got to know the primary knowledge about Arduino and other electronic equipment by achieving success in the projects made by them. This program was performed in the following two schools:
- Ushapur High School.
- Tai Phake High School.
In this training program, IEEE SIGHT, IIT Kharagpur Student Branch played an important role in making their dreams into realities by providing all the necessary equipment to carry out their projects.
As these training programs were successfully executed. This gave us the enthusiasm to plan more such activities to help the students and get enlightened with modern technology.
For which we are really thankful to IEEE AP- MTT SBC, IIT Kharagpur Section. And also, Mr. Pallav kr. Gogoi, who not only gave us the opportunity to carry out this astonishing project, but also helped us in approaching groundbreaking changes in technology.
This motivated us to open a Student Branch in our locality too, which will help to develop different opportunities and vision for students to achieve their dreams in reality.
On 3rd March 2023, we have filed the petition with a positive note and eagerly waited for the approval.
Finally on 19th March 2023, our petition has been approved by IEEE Kolkata Section.
Now, we are really excited, motivated and encouraged to work together toward our IEEE Dibrugarh Univ Student Branch.
