Machine Learning in High Reliability Video Transmission
Through Google MeetOn April 5th, 2025, the IEEE Dibrugarh University Student Branch successfully organized an insightful online session on "Machine Learning in High-Reliability Video Transmission," featuring Dr. Nidhi Simmon, lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast and Royal Academy of Engineering Research Fellow. The event, which witnessed participation from over 40 attendees, delved into the integration of machine learning and wireless engineering to enhance video transmission reliability. Dr. Simmon elaborated on model calibration, the role of neural networks, and the incorporation of wireless constraints like outage probability into machine learning models to significantly boost performance. She also presented real-world applications addressing freezing issues in wireless communication. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, where participants clarified doubts and explored the practical implications of the discussed technologies.
