IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests to a career in engineering.
About WIE student branch affinity group (IIITDMJ)
The IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) affinity group has an active chapter in IEEE IIITDM Jabalpur student branch under Bombay Section. WIE membership is available for $25 to IEEE members, and free to IEEE student members. The mission of IEEE WIE is to facilitate the global inspiration, engagement and advancement of women in technical disciplines. IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.
Missions of WIE group
- To increase participation of women in IEEE.
- To create a comfortable environment for women in IEEE to meet, network, and develop their careers.
- To encourage girls and young women to pursue careers in any engineering discipline.
