IEEE AP-MTTS Student Branch chapter, IIT Kharagpur, collaborating with the Kharagpur section, organized an online Invited Talk on 16th May 2022 on the topic “THE MAGIC OF EMI/EMC.” The talk was delivered by Dr. Arturo Mediano, Associate Professor at the University of Zaragoza (Spain).  The talk encapsulated the modern-day trends in EMI/EMC and made us aware of the emerging research field related to this area. He addressed the problems associated with electronic design in response to EMI/EMC requirements. Various scenarios would lead to reception or generation of EMI, leading to failure of the standard EMC standards. Efficient ways were discussed to minimize production costs and reduce production and marketing-related delays considering EMI in the design phase. The response from the audience at the end made it clear that it was one of the best talks they have received. The talk was attended by 63 participants (AP:3, MTT:8, Both (AP, MTT):6, other IEEE:2 & non-IEEE:44) from India and abroad.
