Towards the Internet of Everything with Graphene Antennas and Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces”
IEEE AP-MTTS Student Branch chapter, IIT Kharagpur, under the umbrella of the Kharagpur section, has organized an online IEEE Invited talk on 12th April 2022, on the topic “Towards the Internet of Everything with Graphene Antennas and Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces.” Dr. Sergi Abadal delivered the talk, Distinguished Researcher at the N3Cat group at the Computer Architecture Department of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). He started the talk by introducing the state of the art of the internet of things (IoT) and its application in various engineering fields. He then started talking about the significance of the available bandwidth, where he briefly explained the path loss versus the frequency in the 6G band. He also introduced various applications beyond the 6G frequency band. Further, he showed the importance of Graphene antennas and reconfigurable surfaces in IoT applications. The talk was attended by 41 participants (AP:4, MTT:8, Both (AP, MTT):8, other IEEE:2 & non-IEEE:19) from India and abroad. The event packed a lot of helpful information in its entirety, and it can be said that all the sectors of the audience had something to take away with them from this talk.
