Aiming to provide an intense training on Internet Of Things, a one day workshop was conducted on 25th of September, 2019 in Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi by IEEE and CSI students branch.
Speaking on the occasion, around 80 participants have participated in this workshop which includes students from both in and around various colleges. The participants were from diverse fields like computer science, electronics, biomedical, mathematics, and computer engineering and information technology. During the the workshop, experts from AFI Technologies shared their insights, real life scenarios, practical use cases and their solutions on The Internet of Things- Hands on Development. The session started with keynote lecture on IoT and future of connected world by Mr.Nehru and Mr.Karthikeyan, AFI Technologies. During first half of the session ,students were provided with the insights, various areas of IoT analytics applications and the challenges that IoT Innovators are going to face. To explain the concepts clearly they shared few videos on technologies.
The session II started with providing the students a basic knowledge about drone technology as well as some more advanced examples of how the technology can be used in all possible environments. The participants showed great enthusiasm during the entire workshop and a lot of excitement during the test flying sessions of the UAV drones and RC gliders. It was indeed a lively experience to all the participants which includes hands on experience with IoT device and application.
At valedictory ceremony, feedbacks were collected and the participants were awarded certificates by the Guests of honour. The entire program was co-ordinated with the support of the Principal, Staff Counsellors of IEEE and CSI students branch and its office bearers.
