Python Enchanters

Date : 19th January,2024

The “Python Enchanters Quest” on January 19, 2024, organized by IEEE MRU Student Branch and Computer Society, showcased an online Python quiz. Aimed at assessing Python proficiency, 72 individuals engaged in the challenge.Post-event, certificates were distributed to all participants and winners. This initiative not only evaluated Python knowledge but also fostered community engagement and skill development among attendees, reinforcing the significance of programming education within academic and professional settings.

Treasure Hunt

Date : 26th September,2023

The treasure hunt organized by the IEEE student branch consisted of four thrilling levels. In the first three levels, teams collaborated to find and decipher clues, progressing closer to victory with each successful discovery. The anticipation must have been palpable as the top-performing teams advanced to the final round, a challenging coding question. The team that provided the fastest correct answer in this technical round emerged as the well-deserved winner.

Technophilia

Date : 11th May,2023

 The Technophilia Event Online Quiz successfully engaged a wide range of participants and provided them with an interactive platform to showcase their technological knowledge and skills. The event fostered a sense of community and facilitated learning and networking opportunities.

Webinar on connection to career advancement

Date : 30th April,2023

Nilesh Kataria led the session and shared valuable insights on how to grow one’s career on LinkedIn. The webinar likely covered topics such as optimizing one’s LinkedIn profile, networking with professionals in one’s field, and leveraging LinkedIn’s job search and recruitment tools. Given the increasing importance of LinkedIn as a tool for job seekers and professionals alike, the session was likely informative and beneficial.

Marvel Mania

Date : 10th February,2023

IEEE MRU Student Branch organized “Marvel Mania – Marvel Quiz”, using the Kahoot platform. The event attracted over 60 participants and featured 40 questions about Marvel Studios. Winners were determined based on the highest points scored in the shortest time. All active participants received e-certificates of appreciation, and the winners were awarded one month of Netflix subscription.

Stand apart with Professional Societies

Date : 2nd November,2022

IEEE MRU student branch hosted an event titled “Stand Apart with Professional Societies,” featuring a live interactive session with Ramneek Kalra, the editor of IEEE India Council VAANI 2022 and an IEEE Impact Creator. The session aimed to broaden participants’ perspectives on showcasing their true identity and standing out through professional societies.

Tech Intellect

Date : 9th October,2022

On IEEE Day, IEEE MRU Student Branch, in collaboration with the Computer Society, hosted “Tech Intellect,” a technology quiz. The event, conducted via Kahoot and Google Meet, attracted over 55 participants. Jai Kumar emerged as the winner with an impressive score of 16877, answering 19 out of 20 questions correctly. Joy and Sahib Preet followed closely behind with scores of 16727 and 16421 points, respectively.

Coding Fiesta

Date : 27th August,2022

IEEE MRU Computer Society, in collaboration with Coding Club MRU, organized “Coding Fiesta,” a two-hour coding competition on August 27, 2022. The event featured 13 questions, including 4 on problem-based coding via HackerRank and 9 on debugging via Google Forms. Participants were ranked based on accuracy and optimized problem-solving approaches. All participants received e-certificates, while winners were awarded winning certificates. The event attracted over 65 registrations and showcased participants’ technical skills.

Tech Graphity

Date : 9th April,2022

IEEE MRU’s CST Department hosted “TECH_GraphiTY,” an artistic competition merging creativity with technology. Participants were tasked with creating graffiti sketches on A3 sheets, aligning with the theme of technology. The event occurred on Monday, April 9, 2022, with submissions closing at 6 pm. The best sketch earned a shoutout, to be featured on IEEE’s Instagram page, and certificates were awarded to winners and participants.

Campus Shorts

Date : 8th April,2022

IEEE MRU Student Branch, in association with the Computer Society, organized “SHORTS: Campus Shorts” for all. This event showcased scrappy 15-second short-form videos similar to Instagram Reels, highlighting creativity and effectiveness in conveying messages. Participants were encouraged to enroll, enjoy, and compete for prizes.

Dig IT Deep

Date : 5th February,2022

IEEE MRU, in collaboration with the Computer Society, hosted “Dig-IT-Deep,” a webinar on Digital Transformation on February 5, 2022. The event featured Mr. Abhinav Gambhir, an MRU Alumnus and Solutions Architect at Red Hat Inc., as the guest speaker. With over 90 active participants via Microsoft Teams and social media live, Mr. Gambhir energetically led the interactive session, addressing doubts and discussing digital transformation trends and business models like Zoom and Zomato. The session garnered an overwhelming response from attendees, with an engaging Q&A session wrapping up the event.
