Women’s Week

IEEE MRU Student Branch’s Women’s Week featured a Lamp Lighting ceremony followed by the “Filmy Frenzy” event, testing participants’ cinema expertise with 60+ attendees.

An Interactive Group Discussion on “The Rise of Generative AI” explored the latest developments and implications across industries with 50+ participants.
A webinar on “The Art of UX Design” with industry expert Ananya Kamra, attracting over 60 students for insights on career preparation and placement strategies in UI/UX design.


The series continued with “Spin the Wheel,” a fun event offering prizes like gift cards and goodies, enjoyed by over 60 participants.

The Relay Race Competition had 16 teams and 64 participants, where members alternated completing sections of the course to win by reaching the destination first.

The third day began with a coding test on HackerRank platform for a coding contest which had 3 questions of each difficulty.
– Women’s Week organized by IEEE MRU Student Branch spanned from March 21st to 23rd, 2023.
– Day 1 commenced with a Lamp Lighting ceremony featuring Mrs. Manpreet Kaur, HOD of CSE, and Mrs. Anupriya Sharma, Branch Coordinator, followed by an engaging “Filmy Frenzy” quiz with 60+ participants.
– The series continued with an Interactive Group Discussion on “The Rise of Generative AI,” exploring its latest developments and implications across industries, with 50+ participants.
– Day 2 featured a webinar titled “The Art of UX Design: Strategies and Techniques” by industry expert Ananya Kamra, attracting over 60 students.
– A fun-filled event, “Spin the Wheel,” offered exciting prizes like gift cards and goodies, enjoyed by more than 60 participants.
– Day 3 kicked off with a coding test on HackerRank, followed by a thrilling Relay Race Competition involving 16 teams and 64 participants, where team members alternated to reach the destination first.
Major Events

IEEE IGDTUW, with IEEE Delhi Section Young Professionals, hosted the R10 Young Professionals Upskills event featuring entrepreneurship, semiconductors, and technology discussions. Jatin Kumar from Manav Rachna University secured third place in the IEEE quiz.

IEEE DSSYWLC’23, hosted by IEEE Delhi Section and IEEE NSUT, fostered national collaboration with networking, workshops, and performances. IEEE MRU SB sponsored students, showcasing branch commitment.
Tanishka Bhatia, an IEEE member from Manav Rachna University, drew 40 participants. Muniba Faheem simplified coding challenges, empowering learners. Muhammad Saood managed Q&A, enhancing the learning experience for IEEExtreme 17.0.


IEEE MRU Student Branch held an “AI-DRIVEN WORKSHOP” on August 28, 2023, backed by IEEE Region 10. Led by Dr. JP Sharma and Mr. Vijay Gill, it focused on AI, Raspberry Pi, and Computer Vision, attracting 31 participants.
– IEEE DSSYWLC’23, organized by IEEE Delhi Section and IEEE NSUT, brought together students, professionals, and women in engineering from across the nation. The event served as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and skill enhancement.
– Workshops, discussions, and performances were key highlights of the event, offering participants opportunities to engage with industry experts, learn about emerging technologies, and explore career paths in engineering.
– The commitment of IEEE MRU Student Branch was evident as they sponsored students’ fees, ensuring inclusivity and demonstrating their dedication to fostering learning and growth within the community.
– Dr. Manpreet Kaur’s contributions were recognized with an award, acknowledging her significant role in advancing the objectives of IEEE and supporting the success of the event.
