“VOICE OF BRAIN” – 08.04.2023
The IEEE Student Branch Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Industrial ElectronicsSociety organized “VOICE OF THE BRAIN” for 1ST years on 8th April 2023 from 2PM to 4PM (IST) at Alpha hall, Sri Sai Ram Engineering College. The event had 2 rounds. The first round was conducted online on 4th may 2023. It was a quiz event based on recent technologies. Overall, 148 teams participated out of which 16 teams were selected for the second round . Second round was held on 8th may at Alpha hall and it was a debate event. And the overall event was based on recent technologies. The event was preceded with a short introduction about the flow of event by KEERTHIKA G (CHAIRPERSON SEC IEEE INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS SOCIETY) Followed by insights of Dr.S.BRINDA (SEC IEEE SB COUNSELOR) and Ms S. GAYATHRI (CHAPTER ADVISOR). MS. S.SURIYA and Ms S. SARANYA were the jury members. Preparation time of 5minuteswasprovidedandspeakingtimewas 10 minutes for both the teams. ParticipantswereevaluatedonTeam work,Presentation Style,Organization & Clarity,Use of cross-examination and rebuttal. The Vote of thanks was given by SHRUTHI PRIYAT (SECRETERYSEC IEEEIES). All the participants were awarded with the E-certificates. And winners were awarded with cash prizes and appreciation certificates.
“PERKS OF BEING AN IEEE MEMBER”- 29.05.2023
The IEEE Student Branch Sri Sairam Engineering College, Industrial Electronics Society organized “PERKS OF BEING AN IEEE MEMBER” for both 1st and 2nd years on 29th May 2023 from 7.30 to 8.30 pm through online mode with 180 participants which had Ms.Abinayaa Sri T, The immediate past chair-IEEE WIE SJCE SB, VideoTeam Mentor-CT, PES DAY MAS LEAD-2023,India Council Awarded-2022 as a chief guest to deliver a talk about IEEE. The event was preceded with a short introduction about the flow of event by KEERTHIKA G (CHAIRPERSON SEC IEEE INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS SOCIETY) Followed by insights of Dr. BRINDHA S (SEC IEEE SB COUNSELOR) and Prof S. GAYATHRI (CHAPTER ADVISOR IES).The speaker delivered the talk about what is an IEEE?The Milestones she achieved in IEEE, What are all the awards we can apply by being an IEEE member and office barriers etc.All the participants were awarded with the E-certificates
“IEEE TV AND NEWSROOM”-9.06.2023 [7.30PM -8.30PM]
The IEEE Student Branch Sri Sai Ram Engineering College In association with IEEE Signal Processing Society, Photonics Society, Communication Society, Microwave theory Society, Vehicular Technology Society, Industrial Electronics Society organized an orientation session on “IEEE XPLORE DIGITAL LIBRARY“on9th June 2023 from 7:30pm to 8:30pm through Zoom platform. The event commenced with warm welcome by DrS.Brindha (SEC IEEE SB Counselor).After that Dr S.Brindha mam explained aboutIEEE TV AND NEWSROOM . More than 100 members attended the meeting. Members got a vast knowledge on IEEE TV AND NEWSROOM. Vote of thanks was given by S.Mahalakshmi (SEC IEEE SB Chairman). The meeting was coordinated by Dr S.Brindha -SEC IEEE SB Counsellor.E Certificates were provided to all the participants.
“TALKATHON”-16.06.2023
SEC IEEE Industrial Electronics Society SBC, SEC IEEE Photonics Society SBC and SEC IEEE Communication Society SBC organised an Offline talk on ‘Power Amplifiers’ on 16th June 2023 from 9:00am to 10:00pm. The event commenced with a warm welcome by Ms. SHANMUGHA JEYASHREE B(SEC IEEE SB TREASURER). After that, student speakers Ms.KIRUTHIKA A(SEC IEEE SB SECRETARY), Ms. JAYASREE P(VICE CHAIR – SEC IEEE COMSOC SBC) and Ms. KAVIYA B explained about the fundamental principles, types, and key parameters of power amplifiers. More than 60 members listened to the session and benefited. Members got a vast knowledge on Power Amplifiers. Mentimenter quiz was conducted at the end of the session. The Vote of thanks was given by Ms. S Gayathri (Chapter Advisor – SEC IEEE IES SBC).
“Role of IoT in Healthcare Application”
The IEEE Student Branch Sri Sai Ram engineering College, Industrial Electronics Society organized “ROLE OF IOT IN HEALTHCARE APPLICATION” on 6th October 2023 from 7PM to 8PM (IST) in online mode (G Meet). our guest of honour for this seminar presentation , Dr.V.Bhanumathi, an associate professor in the department of Electronics and communication engineering, College of engineering Guindy. She gave us many insights about the role of IOT in Health care application has emerged as a pivotal tool, enabling individuals, makers, and professionals to bring their creative ideas to life. She also gave inputs to student community about the sensors used in IoT Heathcare systems , blocks and its architecture. More than 50 students attended this seminar and gained knowledge about IoT in healthcare applications and gave us positive feedback. The event was preceded with a short introduction by SHRUTHI PRIYA T (SECRETARY SEC IEEE IES) and Asst Prof S. GAYATHRI (CHAPTER ADVISOR IES). “Arduino Unleashed: Mastering the basics and beyond”
The IEEE Student Branch Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Industrial Electronics Society organized “Arduino Unleashed: Mastering the basics and beyond” on 19th September 2023 from 7PM to 8PM (IST) in online mode (G Meet). our guest of honour for this seminar presentation, is a proud alumnus of Sri Sairam Engineering college, Mr.R.G.Sharath kumar working as an DevOps Engineering trainee at Sify technologies .He gave us many insights about Arduino, the Arduino platform has emerged as a pivotal tool, enabling individuals, makers, and professionals to bring their creative ideas to life.He also gave inputs to student community about the projects he completed during his college days. More than 100 students attended this seminar and gained knowledge about Arduino and gave us positive feedback. The event was preceded with a short introduction by Dr.BRINDHA S (SEC IEEE SB COUNSELOR) and Asst Prof S. GAYATHRI (CHAPTER ADVISOR IES). A Seminar on “IOT USING RASPBERRY PI”
The IEEE Student Branch Sri Sairam Engineering College, Industrial Electronics Society organized a seminar on the topic “ IOT using Raspberry Pi” for both 1st and 2nd year students on 10th July 2023 from 6.30 to 8.00 pm through online mode with 160 participants. Seminar was presented by DR. S. EWINS PON PUSHPA, Assistant professor at Anna University, CEG campus, Chennai. The event was preceded with a short introduction by SUBASREE (TTEASURER SEC IEEE -INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS SOCIETY) Followed by, Dr.S BRINDHA (SEC IEEE SB COUNSELOR) elaborated the insights .Asst.Prof S. GAYATHRI (CHAPTER ADVISOR IES) addressed the audience with valuable inputs about the IES society awareness and benefits. The speaker delivered a very brief talk on IOT using Raspberry Pi. Functions of Raspberry Pi in different projects and also demonstrated one of the project video using raspberry Pi to the students. Meeting was concluded with a vote of thanks, feedback session and all the participants were awarded with the E-certificates.

After that speaker Dr Kumar Vijay Mishra took the session in a very interesting manner and the students got to know about applying DL to various aspects of hybrid beamforming including channel estimation, antenna selection, wideband beamforming, and spatial modulation. The students got a clear idea about the topic.
