On behalf of IEEE SB of Sri Sairam Engineering College the Pongal day special event KALAI’CHARAL was conducted from 17.01.2022-18.01.2022. More than 150 participants welcomed by Sri Sairam Engineering College from various Engineering college of Tamilnadu. It was an individual event and no teams were allowed. As a first step the participants were asked to exhibit their speaking skills through a video recording of any topic of their choice which was collected through a Google form. Then the qualified members must compete with others in a google meet. Finally, only 2 participants were selected and online debate were conducted. The topic was OFFLINE EDUCATION vs ONLINE EDUCATION. Each team consisted of 3 members and the results were announced on spot. The program was Coordinated by Dr S.Brindha, SB Counselor.
