Welcome to,

IEEE COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIGENCE SOCIETY (CIS) SBC

SRI SAI RAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE

IEEE:-

IEEE is the world’s largest professional association dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE’s highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities. IEEE is the trusted “voice” for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe.

There are more than 430,000 IEEE members in more than 160 countries. The IEEE publishes a third of the world’s technical literature in electrical engineering, computer science, and electronics and is a leading developer of international standards that underpin many of today’s telecommunications, information technology, and power generation products and services.

The IEEE’s roots go back to 1884 when electricity began to become a major influence in society. There was one major established electrical industry, the telegraph, which since the 1840s had come to connect the world with a data communications system faster than the speed of transportation. The telephone and electric power and light industries had just gotten underway.

IEEE, pronounced “Eye-triple-E,” stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The association is chartered under this name and it is the full legal name. To learn more about the association’s name, please read the History of IEEE.

Computational Intelligence Society:-

The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society is a professional society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) focussing on “the theory, design, application, and development of biologically and linguistically motivated computational paradigms emphasizing neural networks, connectionist systems, genetic algorithmsevolutionary programming, fuzzy systems, and hybrid intelligent systems in which these paradigms are contained”

The society was formed as the IEEE Neural Networks Council on November 17, 1989 with representatives from 12 different IEEE societies. On November 21, 2001, the IEEE Neural Networks Council became the IEEE Neural Networks Society. In November 2003,

Student Branch Vision

The primary purpose of IEEE student branch is to Inspire, Enable, Empower and Energize our student members to enhance their technical interests by providing them a platform to show case their skills.

Student Branch Mission

  • Work towards inspiring more students to become member
  • Increase Membership Retention, through the benefits of IEEE
  • Organize technical awareness programs for young professionals
  • Form more Special Interest Groups to encourage project activity among the student members
  • Kindle students interested in making new papers and projects
  • Strive towards achieving more IEEE-sponsored awards and aim at representing papers in international conferences

Vision statement

IEEE will be essential to the global technical community and technical professionals everywhere, and be universally recognized for the contributions of technology and technical professionals in improving global conditions.
