POST EVENT SUMMARY REPORT:

NAME OF THE EVENT:    “5 DAYS HANDS on TRAINING WORKSHOP ON IOT AND
ROBOTICS IN COLLABORATION WITH KITE”

DATES OF THE EVENT:    20.03.2023 to 25.03.2023

EVENT LOCATION:    ALPHA HALL (SEC)

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:    90 participates

EVENT SUMMARY:
The event started at 10 AM by the MC team welcoming the trainers from Kalam Institute for
Technical Education (KITE), HOD, coordinators and the participants of the event. Followed
by Dr. K. Renganathan sir HOD (EIE) delivered the welcome address.

The aim of the workshop was to provide participants with practical skills and knowledge in the field of IoT
and Robotics. Trainer gave an introduction about the workshop. Then the event started and
the kits were provided to each team. The flow of the event was made lively and intellectual so
as to provide the student with a better learning with the kits provided by the team.

At the end of Day 5, the event came to an end by honouring the KITE team and a vote of
thanks delivered by the Chairman of IEEE CSS SB – Sreevaragi.S. Feedback forms were
submitted and certificates were distributed.

The FIRST DAY of the workshop begun with the Installation of the Arduino IDE. The
experts taught the students the essentials of the IDE and its various usages, the syntaxes and
How to code. They taught the students the availability of different microcontrollers and the
basic sensors that can be used for retrieving real time applications and also their interfacing
with Arduino IDE.

The SECOND DAY of the workshop focused on the introduction to IoT and its application
in various fields. The session was led by a renowned expert in IoT who provided an overview
of IoT technologies, including sensors, communication protocols, and data analytics.
Participants were taken through the process of developing IoT applications and how to apply
them in various industries such as healthcare, agriculture, and manufacturing.

The THIRD DAY was about the Introduction to Robotics, which was led by a seasoned
Robotics Engineer. The session focused on the basics of robotics, including the hardware
components of a robot, robot sensors, and actuators. The participants were also taken through
the process of programming a robot using various programming languages. At the end of the
session, participants were given practical exercises to work on in groups, which helped them
to apply what they had learned during the day.

Further the FOURTH DAY of the workshop focused on advanced topics in IoT and
Robotics. The first session was on WIFI robot, where participants learned about the wifi
control robot and challenges that come with implementing IoT systems. The session also
covered about the sensors and transducers.

The FIFTH DAY was on ULTRASONIC GAS SENSOR. The session focused on the mini
gas monitor sensor. The participants were given hands-on exercises to develop and have a
practical experience.

The five-day training workshop on IoT and Robotics was a success, as participants gained
practical knowledge and skills in IoT and Robotics. The workshop provided a platform for
participants to network and share their experiences and challenges in implementing IoT and
Robotics systems. The organizers of the workshop are planning to organize similar workshops
in the future to meet the growing demand for IoT and Robotics skills in various industries.
