The IEEE Broadcast Technology Society (BTS) is one of the technical societies & councils you can join as an IEEE member. Broadcasting is a one-to-many communication service in which the transmissions are intended for direct reception by the general public or a target audience, which may include audio, video and/or data services. The field of interest of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society (BTS) shall encompass devices, equipment, techniques, and systems related to broadcast technology, including the production, distribution, wired and wireless transmission, propagation aspects and reception.
The IEEE Computational Intelligence Society is a professional society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) focusing on “the theory, design, application, and development of biologically and linguistically motivated computational paradigms emphasizing neural networks, connectionist systems, genetic algorithms, evolutionary programming, fuzzy systems, and hybrid intelligent systems in which these paradigms are contained”
The IEEE Computer Society is a volunteer-led organization with an active and engaged membership driving excellence at the governance level—President, Vice Presidents, and executive officers; the Board of Governors, operational Boards (such as Publications, Technical & Conference Activities, and Professional and Educational Activities), and a variety of permanent and ad hoc committees. Our publications are led by volunteer Editors-in-Chief and editorial boards. All these activities are supported by a professional staff, led by an Executive Director, with offices in Washington, DC and Southern California. IEEE offices in Tokyo, China, India and Singapore also lend support for Society activities.
IEEE Consumer Technology Society (CTSoc) is the premier technical organization in the Consumer Electronics (CE) industry field striving to advance interdisciplinary technologies, applications, manufacturing, and standards for products, services, systems, and architectures for consumers. IEEE CTSoc focuses on all aspects of the modeling, design, construction, testing, and end-use of mass-market devices, systems, software, artificial intelligence, big data technology and services for advanced consumer products and services.
The IEEE Electron Devices Society’s field of interest includes all electron and ion-based devices, in their classical or quantum states, interacting with and delivering photo-electronic, electro-magnetic, electromechanical, electro-thermal, and bio-electronic signals, using environments and materials in their lowest to highest conducting phase, in simple or engineered assembly. The Society supports and reports on education, research, development, and manufacturing elements, as well as science, theory, engineering, experimentation, simulation, modelling, design, fabrication, interconnection, and dependability of such devices and applications.
The IEEE Photonics Society, formerly the IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society (LEOS), is a society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), focused on the scientific and engineering knowledge about the field of quantum electronics. In the hierarchy of IEEE, the Photonics Society is one of the close to 40 technical societies organized under the IEEE Technical Activities Board
The IEEE Power and Energy Society of Sri Sai Ram Institute of Technology was formed on 1st October 2021.From then, we have been very active and vibrant till this date. Since then it has organized many events to provide outstanding value to its members. The objective of starting IEEE PES Student branch was to create awareness about the day today technological developments and to make them to utilize the resources available in IEEE PES. And to make most of our student members involve themselves in publishing research papers and projects. We also creating awareness to the community by conducting seminars, symposium and continuing education in topics such as Energy Storage, Microgrids, Distributed Generation, and Distribution and Substation Engineering.
The Power Electronics Society (PELS) is one of the fastest-growing technical societies of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). For over 35 years, the PELS has facilitated and guided the development and innovation in power electronics technology. This technology encompasses the effective use of electronic components, the application of circuit theory and design techniques, and the development of analytical tools for efficient conversion, control, and condition of electric power.
IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS) is a professional society of IEEE that supports the development and the exchange of scientific knowledge in the fields of robotics and automation, including applied and theoretical issues. IEEE – Robotics and Automation (RAS) is a student chapter in Sri Sairam Institute Of Technology. with its members being multi-disciplinary enthusiasts of novel computational practices and precision robotics. Our chapter is a formidable formation of engineering students who have worked on several major projects and have organized several successful technical events. IEEE RAS SB, SSIT was inaugrated on 02/12/2021 by DR.B.VINOD,IEEE RAS CHAIR, MADRAS SECTION.
The Signal Processing Society (SPS) is the world’s premier professional society for signal processing scientists and professionals since 1948.
Signal processing is the enabling technology for the generation, transformation, and interpretation of information. SPS serves its members through high quality publications, conferences, technical and educational activities, and leadership opportunities. Its goal is to keep members abreast of the latest information and to serve the public at large.
The IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society(SMCS) has fostered many different technical committees which has made it a sort of technical committee “incubator.” These technical committees have addressed a number of diverse topics including, but not limited to, electrotechnology, environmental quality, national priorities, health care, decision science, optimization, learning systems, pattern recognition, and biocybernetics. A number of IEEE SMCS technical interest groups eventually became separate IEEE entities in their own right.
IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the largest international professional organizations dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests to a career in engineering. IEEE WIE Affinity Group is one of the world’s leaders in changing the face of engineering. Our global network connects nearly 20,000 members in over 100 countries to advance women in technology at all points in their life and career .IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
