Prof. Nuno Borges Carvalho, Director DETI,IEEE-MTT MGA Chair, IEEE Wireless Power Initiative Chair, URSI Commission A Vice-Chair, Wireless Power Transfer Journal Chief Editor, Energies Journal Associate Editor was the Speaker of the day. Dr. S. Brindha, Sairam IEEE Captain, SEC IEEE SB Counsellor welcomed the gathering. Prof. Nuno Borges Carvalho inaugurated the SEC IEEE Microwave Theory And Techniques Society and gave the inaugural address. During his inaugural address he spoke about the importance and benefits, of IEEE Societies in colleges. He also gave valuable guidelines for the students to get scholarships to carry out their research effectively. He gave guidance on how to approach and obtain funds from IEEE Societies which was an eye opener for the students gathered. Finally Ms. Remya V , SEC IEEE MTTS Chapter Advisor gave away the vote of thanks. Overall, the session provided a lot of benefit to the creative student members.

Dr. B Thanuja, working as a teaching and research faculty in the Department of Chemistry at Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai delivered the technical talk.
She, in her technical talk given a brief introduction about Vision of Materials to pathway. The speaker elaborated the basics of Sensor World, Effect of Solvent and Fluorescence Spectra. This session provided a lot of benefits to the young researchers and budding engineers to carryout their research works in Materials. Around 50 students from the Department of ECE has participated the workshop and got benefitted

Brief Description: Peer assist for better tomorrow – a career guidance talk was organized by IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society in Collaboration with IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, SB of Sri Sairam Engineering College. S JANANI PRIYADHARSHINI and KL NIRMAL RAJA were invited as the speakers of the day. The event took place in Smart Class I on 18th November 2022.
Dr.BRINDHA Sairam IEEE Captain, SEC IEEE SB COUNSELLER addressed the gathering and welcomed the speakers. Further the session progressed with the speaker’s presentation which was more informative to the students. They explained about various career paths and how to prepare for placements and higher studies and how to prepare for placement and higher studies and much more.
This session was very useful for the students to attend the upcoming placement and to choose the best higher education. They clearly explained the roadmap for the placement process, where to start, when to start and how to start. And also they explained about the exams to be attended for higher studies abroad and the complete expenses.
Towards the end, the webinar was concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Ms. REMYA SEC IEEE MTTS Chapter Advisor. Overall, the session provided a lot of benefits to the student members

Students were interested in getting to know about IEEE and the other societies of IEEE.M Amritha Varshini (Vice-chair of IEEE MTTS society), delivered a talk on IEEE Explore site and its benefits for their future projects and other stuffs.Harsha K (Secretary of IEEE MTTS Society) and Sajesh Narayanan S (treasurer of IEEE MTTS Society) delivered a talk on Conference papers, how to take references from those papers and how to publish conference papers of their own.Selva Karthick K (Webmaster of IEEE MTTS Society), shared his thoughts about being an IEEE member and how this platform enhances student’s skills and their leadership qualities.Students were benefited through this meet and shown their interest in joining as a member of IEEE and MTTS society as well.Their feedback about this meet was very satisfying and the meet came to an end by 12.00 PM.

Brief Description: KNACKY PLOY – a quiz event was organized by IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques society of Sri Sai Ram Engineering College. MTTS office bearers organized and coordinated the event. The event took place through a virtual platform on 14th september 2023.
The event was completely virtual, questions were asked from technical topics from Electromagnetic fields and waveguide but also included questions from logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude. Totally the quiz consisted of 30 questions.
Around 120 students from both 2nd year and 3rd year were given their participation. All of them have given their responses accurately for all those questions. In order to appreciate their participation, E-certificates were issued to all the students who have participated in the event.

Brief Description: A technical event was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society SB of Sri Sairam Engineering College. The event took place in LIC laboratory on 19th October 2023.Dr. R. Azhagumurugan, HOD, EEE and Dr. K. Lakshmi Joshitha, Associate Professor, ECE were welcomed as jury members of the event.Fifteen teams, each with 3 members from various colleges were shortlisted for this event, which is entirely dedicated to project discovery. Each participant presented their thoughts and problem descriptions. They all participated with enthusiasm and their thoughts were all extremely good.
