An informative session on Cloud Computing and patent filing was held on 21/12/2021 by the TEMS Society of Sri Sairam Engineering College as a means to spread the knowledge and increase the employability of bussing engineers as Internet Of things andPatent filing for budding engineers and innovators is the trend in today’s market.
Dr.Kanta Prasad Sharma from Chandigarh University was the resource person of the event , provided a lot of insightful information and threw light on topics such asIOT , it’s uses and other information such as how it would benefit our nation.
The session finally was winded up after a question and answer session ,where all the doubts of the students were cleared.
This was followed up by the much awaited event – The launch of IEEE TEMS SEC Chapter Website.

The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems in association with the IEEE Technology and Engineering Management Society Student Branch Chapter of Sri Sairam Engineering College successfully launched a webinar series on “Machine Learning using Python”, in which the session 1 was on the theme “Introduction on ML”. The Webinar kick-started at 10:00 PM where Dr. M. Ananthi, Head of the Department of CSBS & Advisor of the SSEC IEEE TEMS SB Chapter, greeted the gathering through her welcome note.
The remarkable speaker of today’s webinar was Mr. Arunjith Chowdhury, CEO of Enterprise Building Training Solutions. By dint of this webinar, he manifested his vision on Machine learning, its benefits, the various requirements used, and its applications. He also elucidated the details of Machine Learning and it’s working. The interactive session on ML and Python Programming Language used was so persuasive. Meanwhile, He sorted out all the queries raised by the students thus illuminating them.
Eventually, Gayathri Varsha A S, the Student Coordinator of this webinar furnished the Vote of thanks and wrapped up this Webinar joyfully.
On the whole, the session was fruitful to the young creative fellowship.

FORENOON SESSION
Students from IRT Polytechnic College were invited to participate in a hands-on training of Web Development and VLSI Technology. About 27 people attended the Web Development session and about 26 people attended the VLSI training in their respective laboratories.The training was provided by the 2nd year students of CSBS for the Web Development session & ECE students for the VLSI training Refreshments and lunch were provided by the management.
AFTERNOON SESSION
The afternoon session commenced with the valedictory function at the BETA HALL and was graced by the presence of Mr.Kumarappan (IEEE Madras Section Chairman),Dr Rajendra Prasad(Dean Student Affairs-SSEC) and Mr.Porkumaran(Principal -SSEC) in person and Mr.Ravikiran Annaswamy ( IEEE TEMS Vice President- Marketing and Communications, ) virtually.The certificates for the winners of the quiz were given on the stage by the chief guests,Dean – Student affairs,and the Principal -SSEC.

The magnificent IEEE DAY 2K21 celebration event comprised of the three competitions for the school students:
Webbers (Web designing workshop):
Hands-on training on HTML and web page creation for students in class nine included learning the purpose of various tags used in HTML. Students’ concerns regarding the creation of pages were addressed in an interactive session.
After the quiz was over, the top two students with the highest scores were announced as the winners.
Talkteens (Group Discussion):
There were 10 teams formed of students in class eleventh and they each discussed a different topic and the top two performers were selected based on their vocabulary, fluency and content relevance.
Channel Zap (Channel Surfing):
Students from both classes ninth and eleventh participated. It was a non-technical event, where each student was given a character and a card with a situation on it. For the given situation, the students had to describe or act as the given character would do in that situation. For the best two performances, cash prizes were given.
Finally, the most fascinating aspect of the event valedictory is concluded. All the winners received cash prizes and were addressed by Dr. Soma Prathibha, Chapter advisor of SSEC IEEE CS SBC, Dr. Ananthi M., Chapter advisor of SSEC IEEE TEMS Society SBC, and Dr. Sankari, Chapter advisor of SSEC IEEE EduSoc SBC.
