E-TALKS

16^th July 2015

IEEE Students’ Branch of our college had organized an event named “e-talks” for the first year engineering students on Tuesday, 16^th July 2015. The session was held in the seminar hall of Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. The entries were limited to 80 people on pre-registration basis.

In the session, an introduction of some useful websites related to the field of engineering and technology was given to the participants.

The following websites were introduced:

NPTEL (www.nptel.ac.in)
Sciencedirect (www.sciencedirect.com)
HowStuffWorks (www.howstuffworks.com)
org (www.code.org)
W3schools (www.w3schools.in)
Codechef (www.codechef.com)
Slideshare (www.slideshare.net)

The session began at 6:00 PM and continued for 2 hours. Meanwhile in the audience round some general awareness questions were asked to the participants and the correct answers were duly awarded with the chocolates.

At the end, feedback session was conducted in which the participants were asked personal response questions regarding the session and overall the activities of the IEEE Students’ Branch.

We are grateful to Dr. S.B. Somani, Principal and Prof. P. R. Wankhede, Faculty Advisor, IEEE for their guidance and support. Overall the event was a success and was praised by everyone.
