Guest Lecture on FPGA Architecture and Applications

IEEE Student’s Branch of our college successfully organized a guest lecture on the topic “FPGA Architecture and Applications” on Thursday, 27th August, 2015 for B.E. students, M.E. students and faculty members. The lecture was delivered by an experienced faculty of The Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (Varanasi), Prof. Dr. Kishor Sarawdekar.
The key points of the lecture were:
- Basics of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs).
- The Generic Structure of FPGAs.
- Introduction to Xilinx 7 Series FPGAs.
- Applications of FPGAs.
- Selection of proper FPGAs for project works.
The lecture was for Final Year Bachelors’ and all Masters’ Degree students of The Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. The session was organized in the seminar hall of The Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. The began at 3:15 PM and concluded at 4:45 PM. The expertise and knowledge of the lecturer made the entire session very much informative, interesting and helpful.
The session helped the final year and master’s degree students in implementation of FPGAs for their degree projects and the session was praised by everyone.
