Abstract from Speaker: As we embark on a new era of space exploration, Space Robotics stands at the forefront of enabling ambitious missions such as lunar habitation and deep space exploration. This talk will delve into the latest trends and advancements in space robotics that are revolutionizing how we explore and interact with extraterrestrial environments. We will examine the technological innovations facilitating robotic autonomy, durability, and versatility in the harsh conditions of space. Special emphasis will be placed on India’s Vision 2047 for space, highlighting how emerging robotic technologies align with and propel the nation’s ambitions.

Speaker Bio: As a recipient of the prestigious Japanese MEXT Scholarship, Mr. Ashutosh Mishra is dedicated towards advancing research in Space Robotics. Alongside his doctoral studies, he serves as an Innovation Ambassador for the Ministry of Education’s Institution Innovation Council (MoE, IIC), promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students and researchers. His current research focuses on the development of advanced robotic systems for space exploration, particularly working on the Japanese Govt. Moonshot Goal 3 program for “Self-Evolving AI Robot System for Lunar Exploration and Human Outpost Construction”.
