Eligibility Criteria/ General Rules:

Entries are restricted to students currently pursuing education from recognized institutes in any stream.

Participants must necessarily carry their college identity card for verification.

Teams can comprise of a maximum of 5 members.

Every participant must be a member of only one team.

Multiple teams from same institution need to register separately for each event.

Organizers reserve the right to change the rules and/or the arena design as deemed necessary.

Teams need to report within 10 minutes for their scheduled matches.

Trial round may be allowed for a small section of the arena as decided by event coordinator.

Design of the bots or the controlling personnel are not allowed to be changed during the game or between qualification rounds.

In case of breakdown/burnout, change of only the remote controller is allowed, for one time. Teams willing to change both the bot and the controller need to re-register for the event.

Damage to arena by bot/ team member is liable of penalty or total disqualification as decided by authority.

No arguments will be tolerated. Event conveners’ decision will be the ultimate one.

Bot specifications:

Wired and wireless bots are allowed with maximum acceptable voltages of 12V.

Maximum allowed weight of bot is 3 kg.

No restriction on motor speed is imposed.

Striker/dribbler bots can have a kicking/shooting mechanism for which extra motors can be used. An immovable clamp like extension may also be used.

Dimension of the bot is limited to: 30cm * 30cm * 30cm (L * B * H) including the extended mechanism.

The bot is not allowed to grab/hold the ball.

No hydraulic or lego systems will be allowed.

Wired bots should have a minimum wire sag of 6 feet, which is to be managed by a team member.

Arena specifications:

Shape and dimensions of arena- TBD.

The game ball will have a dimension of 5 cm in diameter and approximately 50g in weight.

Size of goal- TBD.

Gameplay specifications:
The game will be hosted in three rounds-
Stage 1: This is the compulsory qualification round, where the bot starts from near one goal post and is needed to navigate to the ball, move it through different obstacles and shoot at the goal. The next stages will begin with the ball in the center.
Stage 2: This is the group stage that has PvP games, where two soccer bots face each other in face-to-face combat and try to score goals against each other. The team with a greater number of goals in the given time period wins. This is a knockout type stage, where winners from each round qualify to the next until two of them stand.
Road 3: This is the ultimate 1v1 showdown between the winners of Stage 2. The team that scores a greater number of goals in the allotted time against the other wins.
If the teams tie at the end of the designated time, in Stage-2 or Stage-3, a golden minute will be hosted, where the team to score first will win.

Two AC outlets will be provided at suitable positions in the arena; teams need to carry their own power converters to drive their bots.

Dimension of the bot is limited to: 30cm * 30cm * 30cm (L * B * H)

Maximum allowed weight of bot is 2.5 kg.

There is no restriction on motor speed.

No hydraulic or lego systems will be allowed.

Wired bots should have a minimum wire sag of 10 feet, which is to be managed by a team member.

Gameplay rules:

The bot must wait at the starting point and start moving when the timer starts.

The bot will have to overcome several obstacles over the course of multiple checkpoints.

The number of hand-touches allowed is 3. In case of a hand-touch, the bot will have to restart from the last checkpoint it crossed successfully.

Team members are forbidden to touch the bots during hand-touches. On the call of a hand-touch, organizer will carry and replace the bot to its last checkpoint.

2 cm height of water can be present as obstacle .

The timer of the concerned bot will be paused during a hand touch for 10secs at maximum.

The span of technical timeouts is 2mins- during which the replacement of entire remote controller is not allowed.

There will be both compulsory and optional tasks.

The bonus points to be awarded on completion of each task and/or successful reaching of the checkpoints, as well the conditions for penalties will be made known during the game.

The maximum time that will be allowed for each round is 10 minutes.

Gameplay structure:

Time for each bot will be recorded and noted.

The game will be hosted in three rounds.

At the end of each round, a given number of teams will qualify to the next based on their lap times.

The bot with the least lap time in the last round will be announced winner.
