IEEE EMBS stands as the largest international society dedicated to biomedical engineers, boasting a membership of over 10,000 individuals spanning across 97 countries. The society offers its members a gateway to the forefront of one of the most rapidly advancing fields in science, providing access to groundbreaking ideas, practices, information, and a community shaping the future of biomedicine.
Established as the pioneering chapter within the IEEE Jordan Section, IEEE EMBS HU Student Chapter emerged as the inaugural technical society chapter within the IEEE HU Student Branch in 2012. Since its inception, the chapter has been committed to offering students invaluable practical experiences, a deeper insight into the professional environment, and comprehensive knowledge of biomedical engineering fundamentals.
The chapter’s persistent and dedicated efforts have consistently elevated its standing, culminating in the proposal and organization of a significant competition. Among its notable accomplishments are the prestigious accolades received, including the “Best New Student Branch in IEEE 2013-2014” and the “EMBS Regional Outstanding Student Chapter/Club 2018-2019” awards.
This reorganized format aims to succinctly highlight the essence of IEEE EMBS and its student chapter while showcasing the remarkable achievements and contributions within the field of biomedical engineering.
