Visit to Philadelphia Solar:
Getting to Know the Company:
The company provided an overview of its activities, highlighting its unique position as the sole TIER-1 company in the Middle East and Africa, specialising in the design and construction of large-scale solar power stations.
Technologies Used:
Students gained insights into the process of converting solar radiation into electrical energy using photovoltaic panels and the techniques involved in energy storage with batteries.
Current Projects:
The students visited a unique project in Jordan, witnessing the expansion of the Badia station using advanced technology and additional solar panels.
Interaction with Devices and Technology:

Students observed the connection of the first grid-connected system in Jordan, enhancing their understanding of the technology and connectivity processes.
Expansion in Storage:
Students explored the expansion of energy storage techniques with lithium-ion batteries, emphasising the importance of this technology in increasing production capacity.
Attendance and Numbers:
A total of 29 students from the Industrial Engineering and Electrical Engineering departments at Hashemite University attended the successful trip, adding value to the academic and practical interaction.
