Robotics Week History

Robotics Week is a popular event based in the United States of America. The goal of Robotics Week is to showcase the latest advancements in robotics technology, highlight the contributions of robotics to society, and promote education and career opportunities in robotics-related fields. Activities during Robotics Week include robotics competitions, demonstrations, workshops, and educational events.

Entrepreneurship and robotics are coming together in one event that brings idea holders related to robotics, innovators, entrepreneurs, business incubators, student projects, and professional engineers together in a day full of excitement and networking.

First Day

First Session: Robotics in AI

Ahmad Abuznaid is a seasoned electromechanical engineer with a bachelor's degree and a master's in artificial intelligence. Since 2022, they have been actively involved in training, sharing their expertise in AI with others. Ahmad Abuznaid has spearheaded numerous projects at the intersection of electromechanics and AI, showcasing their ability to innovate and solve complex problems.

Second Session: Robotics in Sky

Sager, represented by Osama Hijjawi, is a leader in aerial data intelligence and cloud-based solutions. Sager seamlessly integrates cutting-edge aerial technologies like drones, satellite imagery, and more with its comprehensive platform, SagerSpace. This innovative platform not only streamlines data management but also transforms complex geospatial data into actionable insights, empowering organizations to optimize operations and make informed decisions.

Third Session: Robotics in Space Rovers

Salam Abu Alhayjaa is the founder and CEO of Shield N Tech, a company focusing on developing life-supporting and innovative suits for challenging environments on Earth and in space. She is also the founder of MENA Analog Missions, inspiring over 200 enthusiastic students in the region to explore, simulate, and innovate in space-related fields. Her journey as the first Jordanian analog astronaut began after she graduated with top honors from the Jordan University of Science and Technology as a mechanical engineer. She later joined the Asclepios team in Switzerland, contributing to the design of several space suits, and representing Jordan and the Arab world at global space conferences and celebrations.

Fourth Session: Social Robot-Pepper

Saif Zaidan, a skilled AI and robotics professional from Amman, Jordan. As a machine learning engineer at Samsung R&D, he has developed advanced Arabic language processing systems, including automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech. Saif excels in robot simulation and reinforcement learning for robot control, demonstrated by his project with the Pepper humanoid robot. He participated in multiple ML competitions globally and locally, like being 2nd globally in the ML4SCI challenge and being a finalist in the SDIAI smart cities.

Fourth Session: Social Robot-Pepper

Mohammed Khalaf, an accomplished electrical engineer and roboticist with a knack for turning innovative ideas into reality. With extensive expertise in Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and ESP platforms, Mohammed Khalaf has built a reputation for designing and constructing advanced robotic systems. Their deep understanding of microcontrollers allows them to create highly efficient and tailored solutions for a wide range of applications. Whether it's automation or IoT.
