Our members in IEEE PITCHINNO
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the University of Jordan organize the Jordan – IEEE PITCHINNO (EW 2023/2024) competition for entrepreneurial projects in cooperation with the “IEEE Region 8 Entrepreneurship” team at the university level in Jordan.
This pioneering competition aims to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and inspiration in the field of innovation within the IEEE communities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Jordan’s participation in this important event came to qualify three teams for distinguished pioneering projects for the next stage, which is to compete on a global level.
The competition included a distinguished jury that included Mr. Tambe Jalouqa, Mr. Ziad Al-Masry, and Dr. Reem Al-Fayez.
In selecting the winners, the jury relied on the criteria of innovation, impact, possibility of expansion and generalization in projects, diversity of team membership, and financial sustainability.
The competition concluded with the announcement of three winning projects to qualify for international recognition:
The PNIN TECH project team came in first place: Student Hala Yousef, majoring in industrial engineering from the University of Jordan, student Yahya Abido, majoring in computer engineering from Princess Sumaya University, student Laith Tuffaha, majoring in mechatronics engineering from the Hashemite University, and student Manar Eid, majoring in Biomedical engineering from the Hashemite University.
