We are proud to announce that the IEEE branch at Yarmouk University is the largest among Jordanian universities.

– We have more than 270 active members in the branch
– Our membership has grown by 65% ​​over the past year
– We are the largest branch among the 20 IEEE branches in Jordanian universities

🏆 This growth was embodied in successive successes and winning various competitions at the level of Jordan, and we organized more than many workshops and seminars during the past semester, and our members participated in many regional and international conferences and events.

2.Two teams from Yarmouk qualified for the finals of the global IEEEDUINO competition

Three teams from jordan , two teams from Hejjawi Yarmouk and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Yarmouk University branch, qualified for the finals of the eighth regional championship, which includes Europe, Asia and Africa, in designing

3.Yarmouk University Student Branch in the Final of Region 8 Robot Championship.

The IEEE Yarmouk University Student Branch has reached the finals in the IEEE Region 8 Robot Championship! This is a prestigious competition that brings together talented students from universities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa to showcase their skills in robotics, innovation, and engineering.

In these championships, teams design, build, and program robots to complete specific tasks or challenges, competing against other student branches from the IEEE Region 8. The Yarmouk University team’s achievement is a testament to their hard work, technical skills, and dedication to robotics and engineering.

4.The best Women in Engineering Affinity Group in the country award.

Glad to announce that our affinity group – IEEE WIE Yarmouk University Affinity Group – won the best Women in Engineering Affinity Group in the country award.
And we would like to thank Ahlam Alzyoud – the past chairwoman of WIE YU – for her massive efforts in winning this award.
On this occasion, we would like to congratulate all members of the community on this well-deserved recognition. We would also like to thank everyone who contributed to achieving this accomplishment.

5.The Best EMBs Chapter Award in Region 8 ” 2023”.

The Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society ‌‎(IEEE EMBs Yarmouk University Student Chapter), has achieved a ‎remarkable success, as we have been awarded the “Best Regional ‎Student Club in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Medicine and ‎Biology” in the Middle East and Africa.‎

6.The Best CS Chapter Award in Region 8 ”2023”.

The IEEE Computer Society student chapter won The Best Region 8 student chapter award “2023 Region 8 Student Branch Chapter of the Year Award” in recognition of its activities, events and achievements. It was selected to receive this award among all the Student Chapters in Region 8 (Europe, Africa, Middle East).Our Chapter would not have received this award and achieved its exceptional achievements except with the efforts of its distinguished committee many thanks and appreciation to each one of them
