Hijjawi Faculty of Engineering Technology
Founded in 1984 with a donation from the Hisham Adeeb Hijjawi Scientific Foundation, aims to produce skilled engineers proficient in both theory and practical applications across multiple fields, including electronics, telecommunications, computer, electrical power, biomedical, civil, architectural, and industrial engineering. It offers bachelor’s and master’s programs and has earned a solid reputation regionally and internationally through its graduates. The curriculum combines world-class coursework with extensive lab work, final projects, and a unique six-month industry internship, enhancing employability in engineering sectors.
With over 5,000 students, the college maintains high educational standards through a qualified faculty and advanced lab facilities. Its 2004-established Academic Excellence Entrepreneurship Complex strengthens ties with industry, providing field training and research opportunities through specialized incubators. Recently updated curricula align with global technological trends and market needs. The college aspires to rank among the world’s top 500 engineering institutions by 2025, emphasizing excellence in education, industry collaboration, research, and community service.
