Power Festival & Workshop

WORKSHOP: POWER AND SMART GRID WEEK

It was a two day webinar series organised by the IEEE KENYATTA UNIVERSITY .We had a successful event which was sponsored by IEEE Kenya section ,Marpacad LTD and Incsys Company. The festival was attended by various guests including Robin Podmore ,Mitchelle Ngolanya ,Bai Kendrick Blyden .The workshops and agendas that were covered during the engineering festival were :
1.Tour of Incsys Power Simulator software tools. Where we got to explore the cascadia synthetic model ,how we can use forecast impending Power outage in lines and hence better prepare.
2.Accelerating electrification .With a key focus on Africa ROBIN PODMORE ,Incsyc President , showcased the current opportunities in modelling a comon grid for Africa.
3.Mitchelle Ngolanya also got to review a very insight of the journey and experience in her career until she became a system operator. Starting from Kenya Power ,she navigated her path to Germany then later Canada.
4.The knowledge Engine .This is an explicitly genius model showcased by BAI KENDRICK BLYDEN to give a direction on how we could map our ideas and opportunities in Smart Grid and channel them through this engine to get to the top .He gave the analogy of Elon Musk.
The participants were awarded with awarded a scholarship by IncSys Presdent ,Robin Podmore who motivated the awardees to strive in maximasing to shape their lives and their community as well.
