Our Goals and Objectives

As a Women In Engineering (WIE) student branch, our society plays an important role in empowering and supporting women in the field of engineering. Through our various initiatives and programs, we work towards breaking down gender barriers and promoting diversity and inclusion in the engineering profession. One of the main goals of the WIE student branch is to provide networking opportunities for women in engineering. This includes connecting students with professionals in the industry, as well as with other students who share their interests and passions. By fostering these connections, you help to build a strong community of women in engineering, who can support and learn from one another.

Another key aspect of our society is its focus on education and professional development. We offer workshops and training sessions on a variety of topics, such as technical skills, leadership, and communication. These opportunities not only help women to develop their skills and knowledge, but also provide a platform for them to showcase their abilities and potential.

In addition to networking and professional development, our society also works towards promoting gender equity and diversity in the field of engineering. This includes advocating for equal representation of women in leadership positions, as well as for fair and inclusive hiring practices. By raising awareness of these issues and encouraging dialogue, we help to create a more welcoming and supportive environment for women in engineering.

Overall, the Women In Engineering student branch plays a crucial role in supporting and empowering women in the field of engineering. Through your various initiatives and programs, we work towards breaking down gender barriers, promoting diversity and inclusion, and creating a strong community of women in engineering. Our efforts not only benefit individual students, but also contribute to a more equitable and innovative engineering profession.

We proudly celebrate and champion the Women in Engineering Affinity Group, an inclusive and empowering community that strives to break barriers, promote diversity, and inspire excellence in engineering. Through our unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive environment, advocating for gender equality, and providing invaluable resources, we are dedicated to empowering women in their pursuit of engineering careers. Together, we are shaping the future of the engineering field, driving innovation, and ensuring a more equitable and inclusive world for all.
