IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE) is a global network of IEEE members and volunteers dedicated to promoting women engineers and scientists, and inspiring girls around the world to follow their academic interests in a career in engineering and science.
MISSION
The WiE lEEE Affinity Group Of University of Moratuwa Strives to Encourage the prominence of female involvement in engineering to business, academia, government and the wider community as a whole; Foster and increase career opportunities and development for women in engineering: Provide a professional, social, and support network for women in engineering and associated industries;
Facilitate the development of programs and activities that promote the entry into and retention of women in engineering programs;
Advocate women in leadership roles and create a platform to develop skills that can be cultured in their lives.

Inspire, Engage, Encourage, and Empower women to reach their full potential to facilitate their recruitment and retention in technical disciplines globally by fostering technological innovation and excellence while collaborating with men to create a better tomorrow.
