Hi, I am Mohammad Shadab Khan, Chair IEEE IIUM SB 2021. I am doing PhD from Kulliyyah of Information and communication technology, my field of research interest is primarily Human computer interaction domain (HCI); In my attempt to contribute my two cents for the cause of Special needs education, especially learning needs among Autistic individuals, I am studying use of advanced IT based tools for education of children on the spectrum. I have 15+ years of industrial & academic work experience in India, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. Bering part of IEEE IIUM SB gives me the opportunity to connect with concurring people and share my ideas among the domain experts. I wish to contribute and expand my academic research horizons across all the regions to develop collaborative research in order to achieve significant impact for the global community. 



Mohammed Rafeeq is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, Kulliyah Of Engineering International Islamic University Malaysia(IIUM). Prior to joining IIUM he earned his master in Technology degree from Visveswariah Technological University, India. . He has over 5+ years of Experience in Industry and academia in the area of Industrial Automation and Robotics Engineering. His current research interest is Amphibious robot locomotion, facial expression recognition, automation, and control. He is the present Vice-Chair for IEEE IIUM SB 2021. He is volunteering in PGSA KOE 2021 as Treasurer. He is also part of the Mendeley mentor group as an advisor and trainer.

Tamana Baba


Hi, my name is Tamana Baba, Secretary IEEE IIUM SB 2021. I am a master’s student in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Kulliyyah of Engineering. My research interests include Electromagnetic Compatibility in Integrated Circuits used in Smart Automotive Industry, Semiconductors etc. Working with IEEE IIUM SB has provided great opportunities to expand my knowledge and gain wonderful experiences from technically sound and dignified domain experts. It has also been a great platform to channelize my energy and enthusiasm into constructive and creative ventures that can somehow prove beneficial to youth.

Ahmed Rimaz


Ahmed Rimaz Faizabadi is a researcher with over 15 years of experience in R&D, Teaching, and Industry. He was an invitee to SRI International Summer School for Formal Methods. He has also worked with General Motors R&D India Science Lab and other industries of repute. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. (Computer Vision and Deep Learning) in the Department of Mechatronics, IIUM- Malaysia. He has published over a dozen peer-reviewed research papers and authored two books. He is a student member of professional societies SAE-M, IEEE. He has volunteered as President of PGSA-KoE IIUM 2019-2021, Head(Education and Research) PGSS IIUM 2020-21, Treasurer, IEEE SB IIUM 2020. Recently Society of Automotive Engineers Malaysia (SAE-M) has awarded him an Outstanding Student of 2021.
