ABOUT IEEE
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers short for IEEE and commonly pronounced as “I triple E” is world largest professional society. It was formed in 1963 by merger of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers and the Institute of Radio Engineers. Both of the societies were founded and led by the most prominent minds of their times in the then new field of electrical engineering such as Nikola Tesla, Thomas Alva Edison, Edwin J. Houston, and Edward Weston. Since then IEEE has a mission for Advancing technology for humanity IEEE has over 420,000 members in over 160 countries around the world. For organizational purpose IEEE has divide whole world in 10 regions. Each region comprises of different sections and each section oversees different technical society chapters, student branches, affinity and special interest groups. ABOUT IEEE Islamabad Section
The Islamabad IEEE Section is located in Region 10, Islamabad. It was formed on February 12, 2000. IEEE Islamabad Section is involved in promoting activities that fall under IEEE focused areas. Numerous vibrant IEEE technical societies from all over Islamabad are working under IEEE Islamabad Section including Geo-Science and Remote Sensing Society, Aerospace Society, Power Engineering Society, Computer Society and Communication Society. Encouraging IEEE activities among engineering students and catering to their technological and creative needs has always been the sole purpose of IEEE Islamabad. 26 IEEE Student Branches are actively working under IEEE Islamabad Section so that we can show our future scientific leaders, while they are studying, to the vast community of IEEE all around the world.
ABOUT IEEE Islamabad Section
The society is formed in December 2020 by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zubair, Dean, Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University, Islamabad. The main objective for the formation of IEEE CIS is to keep the pace with the demands of the ever-changing Computing landscape, meeting the local and global educational standards, and developing indigenous solutions for the socio-economic development of the nation.
ABOUT IEEE ISLAMABAD SECTION COMPUTATIONAL INTELLIEGENCE SCHOOL 2021
Interconnecting eminent professionals, aspiring innovators and meritorious engineers and practioners, the IEEE Islamabad Section Computational Intelliegence School 2021 brings with an ever-more promising experience of the technological advancements happening around the globe. This is first episode of CIS Summer School in the history of IEEE Pakistan, organized by the IEEE Islamabad Section Computational Intelligence Society. IEEE CIS Summer School is going to be held at Riphah International University, i-14, Islamabad on 25, 26 and 27 of March 2022 with the collaboration of IEEE Riphah University FC Student branch.
