Tema: IT Service Management
Viernes 6 de agosto de 9:00 a 12:00 M
Descripción:
IT service management (ITSM) is a discipline for managing information technology systems and
is centered philosophically on the internal user’s perspective of IT’s contribution to the business
and its relationship with external suppliers and customers. ITSM is anchored on servicing the
IT user and stands in marked contrast to technology-centered-and-
management of the IT infrastructure in organizations.
The Seminar overviews 50 years of evolution in the character and personality of IT in
organizations and discusses its relation to processes and IT infrastructure management.
Participants are exposed to the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and how
this IT best practices framework has transitioned to maintain its world de-facto standard for IT
Service Management. ITIL v2 and ITIL v3 are compared and explained. A real world analogy
presents in simple terms v3’s Service Lifecycle publications.
