Beginning
At the initiative of a group of students from the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, a Student Branch of the world’s largest professional organization IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) was established in 2020.
Team
The local Student Branch has 20 members from the three faculties with electrical profile – Faculty of Automation and Computer Science, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, all levels of studies: bachelor, master, and doctorate, they being affiliated with the Electronic Packaging Society.
Our objectives are:
- to support young people starting their research careers by participating in scientific conferences or publishing in prestigious journals;
- to support student participation in technical-scientific competitions, summer schools, workshops;
- establish contacts with similar student organizations.
