The event was made even more significant through the collaborative efforts of not just Kyambogo University but also ISBAT (International School of Business and Technology) and Mbarara University of Science and Technology.

As we look back on this extraordinary celebration, it becomes evident that it was more than just an event; it was a convergence of visionaries, technologists, and changemakers, all unified by the common goal of using technology as a catalyst for positive change.

The collaboration of Kyambogo University, ISBAT, and Mbarara University of Science and Technology brought together a diverse range of perspectives, creating an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration. 𝐈𝐄𝐄𝐄 𝐔𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐

As we promised, we delivered. The IEEE Photonics Week Uganda 2022 was jam-packed with a number of activities that were aimed to bridge the gap between the students and the relevant industries.

We held a number of engagements with various organizations such as Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC), Soliton Telmec, @innovexug, Nakawa vocational Training college: NVTC Energy Training Centre, and Rotaract Club of Nansana .

It was a great opportunity for IEEE students to learn various technologies applied in different fields as well as create a strong relationship with the companies for future internship and employment opportunities.

Special thanks to the companies that gave us an opportunity to learn and also IEEE Photonics Society for making this possible.

IEEE student members from Makerere University, KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY, ISBAT University, @uict-nakawa, and Mbarara University of Science & Technology actively participated in this program.
