Event Review: 2025 Annual General Meeting of IEEE UoB Student Branch & PES Chapter
On 31st January 2025, the IEEE University of Birmingham Student Branch & PES Chapter successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM), bringing together students and faculty to reflect on the past year’s achievements and plan for the future.
The meeting began with a warm welcome, followed by insightful presentations from Prof. Xiao-Ping Zhang (IEEE UoB Student Branch Counsellor), Dr. Daniel Donaldson (IEEE PES UoB Student Branch Chapter Advisor), and Dr. Zixuan Jia (Chair of IEEE UoB Student Branch & PES Chapter). These talks highlighted the branch’s progress, key initiatives, and the impact of IEEE engagement on students’ academic and professional growth.
One of the key highlights of the AGM was the Officer Elections, where new committee members were elected to lead the branch for the upcoming term. This leadership transition ensures the continuity of IEEE UoB’s commitment to organizing impactful events, fostering student engagement.
