The IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Student Branch Chapter (SBC) at Clemson University consists of members including Graduate and Undergraduate students, faculties, and associates who are working in the power and energy domain at Clemson University. Our chapter provides high-quality technical meetings and technical courses to our members and non-members alike. Some of the topics that have been covered recently in our technical meetings include Smart Electric Grid, Integrated System Operation and Planning, Career Management, and Duke Energy’s perspective on large power transformers’ failure and recovery.
We organize technical events which are open for anyone to attend. We are always looking for potential speakers for our technical events. If you are interested in making a presentation on a topic related to power and energy systems, please contact our Committee.
