Open Project Space

Welcome to OPS – Open Project Space! This is a pilot program the IEEE EWU has adopted from IEEE UCLA that includes 4 introductory and fun electronics projects.

The four projects are:

Throughout the program, you will get to learn about the basics of electrical engineering with guided mini-lectures by the OPS Lead, including circuits configurations with voltage dividers, MCUs, sensors, serial communications, etc.

Also, you will be able to work in teams, receive mentorship opportunities, and join in on our cool other projects, such as the motorized couch. Plus, this program can be a nice resume booster.

Some requirements: 

  • At least 2 hours commitment per week to have a working product!
  • A $10 deposit that will be returned to you at the end of the quarter if 4 projects are finished, and you can keep the parts afterward.
  • A good attitude to do projects in a group.
