OUR CLUB’S ASPIRING ENGINEERS
IEEE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, is the world’s leading technical professional institution.
Maximize your understanding and education at Purdue University Northwest through our IEEE Student Branch.
PNW students gain experience by working on projects with modern electric vehicle technology from the newest lithium-ion cell technology to AC motor drive systems, wiring harness design, and more. In collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue Northwest, we continue to get involved with our surrounding community by participating in local outreach and events.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Our organization strives to work with our community in order to give others hands-on experiences in the field of engineering with events like STEM on the Road and FIRST LEGO League. Teams build their own karts, tune their powertrains and chassis dynamics to put them to the test at the Racing Capital.
IEEEXTREME
This global challenge has students worldwide race against the clock, given only 24 hours to complete a series of coding challenges. Each solution is tested among an array of inputs with restrictions put on available memory and computation time, testing your skills in a wide range of programming languages.
EVGRAND PRIX
Students from all over the world come to Indianapolis to compete in this prestigious and innovative electric vehicle championship. Teams build their own karts, tune their powertrains and chassis dynamics to put them to the test at the Racing Capital of the World — the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
