Discovery Park 3940 N Elm St, DentonThe UNT IEEE Student Branch welcomes the international IEEE President-Elect, Susan ‘Kathy’ Land, and the UNT Chancellor Lesa Roe to IEEE North Tech-SAS (Students Advancing Society). This event is designed to encourage industry leaders to address the upcoming generation of engineers in the DFW area and establish a working relationship between the universities and high-quality companies that drive change. This all-day event will include speakers, a student research poster competition, and a chance for companies to showcase their vision and values to DFW students and professionals. The purpose of the competition is to demonstrate your research or showcase your project. The topic of the poster is open to all fields of engineering. There is no charge associated with entering the competition; however, acceptance of an abstract is not guaranteed. Undergraduates and graduates will be judged separately. If competing in mixed groups consisting of both undergraduates and graduates, the team must compete at the graduate level. The abstracts must be 500 words or less and must be submitted to [email protected] by 02/07/2020. We will send abstract acceptance notifications by 02/14/2020, and you will have one week to prepare your posters before the presentations on 02/22/2020. Sponsors
