Both quantum computing and artificial intelligence are buzz words that are being used everywhere. While there has been a growing interest in the two fields among undergraduate students, the intersection is rarely discussed. At the intersection of the two fields, underlies immense potential for change and acceleration for the future.

By featuring speakers from both academia and industry, networking opportunities with innovative individuals and leading organizations, IEEE UofT is looking to inspire the next generation of engineers, computer scientists, physicists and chemists to enter the field of quantum artificial intelligence.

We will be featuring 5 speakers from both industry and academia with focuses on quantum ML, quantum error correction, quantum software, quantum hardware, quantum simulation, and quantum inspired pharmaceutical and drug discovery.

All talks will be tailored to require minimum to no background in quantum computing and machine learning.

Our panel of professionals will bring many insights from various fields of expertise. There will also be organizations to talk to about their offered programs in quantum computing, working on projects, mentorship and more.

Seminar Format (virtual event):

As our world is still far from being ready to go back to normal, for the safety of our participants and speakers, QAI Talks will be hosted virtually.

As disappointing as it may be, we hope that you will still find this format interesting and helpful and we will do our best to ensure you are familiar with the virtual event environment .

The event will take place using an online conferencing software called Airmeet. All talks and networking sessions will take place on this platform.
