An Introduction to Embedded Systems
The workshop host will present a first look into the world of embedded systems (a sub-discipline within the field of electrical/computer engineering). Over the course of this workshop, the host will aim to cover: • What constitutes an embedded system • An introduction to micro-controllers, timers, counters, memory and RAM • What role interrupts play in embedded systems • Some real-life examples of where embedded systems are used • The future of embedded systems
