Summary

The 2024 Rover Innovation Challenge consists of building a rover that can plant three seeds in hostile terrain conditions, imitating the terrains of planet Mars. Additionally, this vehicle must be able to collect environmental data to be later analyzed at a Base Station, which will receive all the relevant information about the variables to measure and sense. Consequently, it will perform various tasks required in the competition.

Objectives

  • Buiding a vehicle capable of moving through irregular and rough terrains, which can be controlled remotely.
  • Conduct an inspection and census of the environment, capturing information on different environmental variables.
  • Be able to perform smart farming tasks and sow specific plants.

Team

The team was comprised of a brilliant group of electrical and electronic engineering students: Mateo Muñoz, Jesús Ariza, Jorge Ortega, Christopher Cabana, Sthefany Morales, and Sebastián Lizarazo, each bringing their unique expertise and passion to the project.
