Overview
The 2025 IEEE CIS Summer School on AI-Empowered IoT-Based Healthcare Systems is an immersive five-day program (21st – 25th July 2025) aimed at providing in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare. As healthcare systems increasingly adopt smart technologies, integrating AI with IoT has the potential to revolutionize patient monitoring, disease diagnosis, and medical decision-making. This summer school is designed to equip students, researchers, professionals, and innovators with the essential skills and expertise required to develop intelligent, data-driven healthcare solutions.
Participants will engage in comprehensive sessions covering fundamentals of IoT in healthcare, AI-driven medical data analysis, smart healthcare devices, and real-time health monitoring. A major focus will be on privacy and security concerns, ensuring that participants understand the challenges of handling sensitive medical data in IoT-enabled systems. The program will not only emphasize theoretical foundations but also provide extensive hands-on training, allowing participants to develop practical AI-based healthcare applications. By the end of the program, attendees will have built a fully functional smart health monitoring system that integrates IoT sensors with AI algorithms for real-time health tracking—an innovative step toward predictive healthcare solutions.
Moreover, the summer school fosters innovation and collaboration, encouraging participants to work on research-driven projects with potential outcomes such as patents and published research papers. By working on real-world case studies and practical implementations, participants will bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry applications. This initiative is a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals to gain hands-on experience in AI-driven healthcare technologies, preparing them to contribute effectively to the future of smart, data-driven medical solutions.
